Einstein and Zac the parrots

All right, since there seems to be so much interest here, you might want to check out: birds.about.com/b/a/158854.htm and click on the video of Einstein the African Grey. There is another video about Zac, a macaw, but Einstein steals the show!

A book about parrots that is also tied in with the kind of work I do on intelligence and brain function in humans is "The Parrot Who Owned Me" by Dr. Joanna Burger.

I'll stop talking about parrots and get back to work now. Cheerio.

Patrick -

I was just watching Einstein when my husband, Tom, came home from work and we both watched him, again, together, along with Zac. They are both so cool!!

You have just GOT to read "The Parrot's Lament" about all of the animals. It's probably the best book we've both read in years and years and we are both avid readers (and we're not even particularly "bird" people)! And, we're going to look for the book you just mentioned.

Thanks for sharing your "lessons" from your birds and telling us about Einstein and Zac.

Dee
